[ROGERS, BRUCE.] The Jacobite Club. 8vo, publisher's 1/2 parchment over paper-covered boards, printed label to front cover; glassine dust jacket, tanned with chip; staining to endpaper gutters. Published for the Jacobite Club whose members were Harvard alumni from the class of 1857. This copy compiled by one of the members, Joseph May, with a manuscript presentation from his wife to the widow of one of the other members. Additional material bound in includes a manuscript poem dated November 1908 by May that he read at a Boston dinner, a typed note about the contents of the book, and a copy of The Jacobite Monthly of February 1906. One of likely but a scant few produced, with no copies traced at auction or in the trade. WorldCat lists five copies (Yale, Wellesley, Harvard, Boston Athenaeum, and Boston University). Unique copy, designed by Bruce Rogers, during his early 'Riverside Press' years. [Np, privately published for the members], 1909
